Skipped birthdays

I've gotten to know Olivia's classmates a little bit, and they say the funniest things. The topic was about age, and there are several kids who are ages four and six, though the majority are age five. I was asking the four and six year olds when their birthdays are, but I guess I phrased it wrong. I asked, "When did you turn six?"
"On my birthday."
"When is that?" I followed up.
"I don't know," is what they all said to me!
My favorite answer, though, was the boy who said, "I skipped my birthday this year. I didn't have one."
Me, too, Kid. If only!

When asked which birthday he was celebrating, famous old comedian Jack Benny once said something like this: "It's the 43rd anniversary of my 37th birthday." So there's an idea for you, Diane!

I've learned never EVER tell your kids how old you are. My kids still think I'm 21. Been 21 for years except my oldest knows how to add so he figures I was 21, 3 years ago I'm 24 now.

lowtone123- that is EXTREMELY funny. I was totally intending to do same, as Olivia's already blurted out other things and I see the potential for embarassment. My mom TOTALLY did that with me when I was a kid. I thought she was 10 years younger than her age, until I was 17. No joke.
