A ho‘olaule‘a (block party) kicks off the three-day Pan-Pacific Festival with live entertainment on multiple stages, food trucks and crafts throughout Waikiki. The celebration continues with the Performing Arts Showcase featuring cultural performances and demonstrations; Pan-Pacific Hula Festival with dozens of hula hālau (troupes) performing on Waikīkī Beach, and a Food & Product Fair showcasing delicious food and products from Japan. The festival culminates with a colorful parade where thousands of participants in lively costumes, local and national high school bands and ethnic groups march up Kalākaua Avenue.
